Separated cafe and restaurant, amazing food, great, quick service. It's all here. My partner and I came down on a road trip just to pick something up and everything was perfect. Not sure I'll literally ever be in Edmunstun again but I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is.

I had the pleasure of ordering their sardines, which were part of the weekend special. I absolutely love tinned sardines, so I was excited to try them fresh. They were absolutely amazing! My order arrived with approximately 12 perfectly grilled, tender sardines and a side of French fries. My wife's couscous and vegetables were also delicious. Customer service over the phone was very friendly. Delivery was quick and easy as well. I highly, highly recommend El Gusto!

Fantastic hole in the wall sit down place. We’re from Ontario and stopped for lunch on the way to New Brunswick. The food was incredible and our 3 boys aged 6-12 enjoyed the food immensely, especially the French tacos. My wife had a chapati which was filling and delicious, and I had the special that day, a vegetable soup with green olives and chicken. The flavours were well done and unique. I think the cooks are from Algeria? Everything blended well and it turned a normal lunch into a memory.

I'm surprised by how much I liked this. If you're tired of pizza, or burgers and fries, give this place a try. This little restaurant is easy to find as it is located in the heart of 'downtown' Edmundston. They offer street-side parking, so, during peak hours visitors may have to walk a bit to get to the restaurant. They offer a few tables in a clean and well lit dining area. The service was great. Fast and friendly and they took the time to explain their dishes. They're aiming to be a halal fast food restaurant. Within 10 minutes my order was ready. I would consider that fast. I chose to go with the French Taco. I got the mixed meat version and opted for the XL size. It was delicious! The portion was big enough to allow me to have half of my taco for lunch the next day. Unfortunately, the fries weren't cooked enough. They were soggy, greasy, and unseasoned. I ended up eating my Taco with chips, instead. My meal came out to be about $30 with tip. However, I could have ordered a smaller portion and it would have cost me less. Expect to pay about $15 per person for a good sized meal. I don't really give fast-food restaurants more than 3 stars but I'll make an exception for this place. The person I spoke to was passionate about their food and offered really polite service. I'll be back to try other options on their menu. It's good to have options like this in Edmundston. Keep up the good work!

Was visiting Edmunston from Toronto and saw this restaurant in a list of local restaurants. One of the owners who works there took time to explain each dish we ordered and was very passionate about his food. The bread is baked at the restaurant and was super. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wishing to try great food at very fair prices. The portion size is more than we could eat at one meal and we're able to get two meals from our order. Will be back east in the fall and this will certainly be on my list of where to eat. Thanks for a great meal and especially taking the time to educate me on Algerian cuisine.

Amazing halal restaurant! We got the chicken and beef tacos and the everything sub. The food was spectacular, juicy, and the portions were huge. Particularly the tacos. The staff were kind, specially Sufiyan, and willing to keep the restraint open till 11pm (even though they close at 10) for us to have time to eat!
